STYLING THE SEASONS. MARCH

Hello everyone,

Welcome to March Styling The Seasons, hosted by the lovely duo Charlotte of Lotts and Lots and Katy of Apartment Apothecary

March has been the most manic month ever, but it is so my favourite month!

I thought as my bedroom is nearly finished that I would style my bedside table.

I love this little embroidered cloth that used to belong to my gran, it is so delicate and always reminds me of spring.

Ive moved some inspirational spring reads to the side of the bed for that Sunday morning tea in bed treat.

I love this old mirror! Leaning it up against the wall by the window is a good way of pinging more light into the room.

I am so in love with the colour of the room! Its arsenic by Farrow and ball
I've just finished off the space with some sweet smelling spring bulbs called Bridal crown.
Now I just need to finish the bedroom!

TREASURE AND MEMORIES

Hello,

I love spending time finding treasure! I am such a magpie. Usually I visit a couple of my favourite barns and get lost amongst the furniture, glass, crockery and old decorations. Stumbling across old photos and wondering who the people were...

Like I said, I'm normally finding other people's pre-loved things, but it's been a different story of late.
I lost my dear Granddad at Christmas, he was the most wonderful man I've ever known. The son of Romanies, a rag and bone son turned master carpenter, who set his sights high on my well to do Nan.

We've had lots to sort out, and I avoided going to their house after. I didn't want anything, I had my memories. But I did go in the end, and it was a comfort, being surrounded by my grandparents things.

I have my grandads flat cap, which I wear. And my nans sewing box, which I use. I wanted to share this little sewing box with you. It's helping me evolve my interiors business, as I'm now sewing like mad to get my cushions ready for next month. It's a joy to use, a box of happy memories.

FABRIC AND ROSES

 Hello everyone,

It is a very busy March indeed. I'm getting so excited I could burst! I have been designing my first fabric collection for well over a year, and the launch is imminent. My signature water colours are now printed onto uber soft cottons and will be available to purchase by the metre from April. I'm also making cushions and gifts too.

My website is also undergoing a make-over and will include the blog. I've posted a few pics of some of the new fabrics, I probably shouldn't have a favourite, but it is the Midnight Rose, I love the inky colours and the way the paint has mixed.

I hope you have a lovely weekend

SPRING IN A TEACUP

Nearly spring! I just love to plant tiny spring flowers in teacups and pretty dishes, I do it every year and dot them around my conservatory. Im uber excited right now as last weekend we finally finished building our greenhouse. A lovely neighbour very kindly donated some industrial shelves and now I just need to pretty it up a bit. I'm thinking lace, although Mr C is shaking his head, I'll wait till he goes off to work ;)

Hope you are all having a good week.
