Conservatory make-over inspo

Hello,

I have an old lean to conservatory on the back of my house, we were going to pull it down and start again but I suddenly felt that was a rather reckless decision and stopped. It may of fallen out of fashion for the moment but there is something I find charming about the old wooden structure. So I've finally got it cleared, it's always been a bit of a dumping ground, now I'm just looking for some inspiration on how to style and decorate it. You can see my full Pinterest board with all of the images I'm loving. But these are just a few (shown above) that I am particularly drawn to.
I've decided to turn it into a multifunctional room, serving purpose as my office, extra greenhouse space and as it's gorgeous and light, a place in which to style and photograph my things for my store.
Ive got an old table which I'm going to sand back when the weather starts to get nice and I'm going to pot up lots of geraniums and hanging plants. I'm rather excited with my new plan. I'll let you know when I make a start.

The Nordic way of life - New collection out now

I've been hanging out over on pinterest again. This time I'm looking for bedroom design inspo. My bedroom at the moment is very dark, it has huge pieces of antique furniture that I love but I feel a little bit like they are shouting at me at the moment. I think it's because i've finally fallen out of love with my vivid green arsenic walls and my vintage chintz blind, actually putting it down like that makes it sound horrific, although it is nice really, very dramatic! But, I'm just a little fed up with it now and I'm after something calm and relaxing, plus I'm keeping my antique furniture so I'm after a wall colour that will compliment the pieces and not fight for attention with them. Im heading towards a pale grey, I've picked a couple of +Farrow & Ball testers to try. I'm also swooning over soft shades of pink linen bedding! I'd love to get started on it right away but my husband has convinced me that it's probably best to wait till after easter...... Anyway, you can see what I'm pinning and look up the original owners of these beautiful pics on my pinterest board!
In the mean time i'll just have to be content with painting samples over my walls.
Enjoy the rest of your week lovelies.

Sunday snapshots

Hello,
Here are a few snapshots of things I have enjoyed doing over the past weeks.
Before the snow hit, we took a trip out to the Wimpole estate which is owned by the National Trust. It was bitterly cold but we bundled up with scarfs, hats and gloves, and we sat outside with  hot bowls of soup and fed these little birds crumbs off our bread. I just love moments like these when we can be absorbed in nature and no other thoughts are occupying our minds.
During snow week I worked on the plans for our side garden, I have to say our garden is quite small but the fact that it is separated into sections by wrapping around the house makes it a really interesting one and it is the thing I first fell in love with when we viewed the house.
We put in four new borders before Christmas so we need to get those finished now, then we are completely renovating the long border that runs the length of the house. Can't wait to start on that project!

I was also busy in my kitchen when the snow really hit, making these botanical soaps. They are all lined up on my windowsill at the moment and smell heavenly. Perfect snow day therapy!

That just leaves me to share my favourite spring flowers with you and wish all the mother's out there a Happy Mother's Day!
