Thought I'd share my favourite cookie recipe ever! You lucky lot! I first made cornflake cookies when I was about 6,  years later and they are still my 1st cookie of choice. They are crunchy yet chewy, and oh so moreish mmmmm. 

Ingredients: 75g (3oz) cornflakes 
                  225g (8oz) self-raising flour
                 100 g (4oz) castor sugar 
                 150 g (5oz) marge or stork
                  2 tbs golden syrup 
                  1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
                  2 tsp boiling water 

Makes 18.

Method: Heat the oven to gas 2 or 150c. Line large baking trays with grease proof paper.
Crush the cornflakes and mix in the flour and sugar. Melt the stork and golden syrup and add to the dry mix. Finally, dissolve the bicarbonate in boiling water and add to the mix. Stir into a dough. It is quite a wet dough. Take a good teaspoon full and shape into a ball and place on the grease proof. Space well as the cookies spread. After about 15 mins in the oven pat down the tops slightly with the back of a fork. Bake for another 5 to 10 mins. I like mine on the chewy side so bake them for about 20 mins in total. Leave to cool for about a minute before transferring to a wire rack.
