COSTAL INTERIORS IN PRETTY PASTELS

When someone mentions costal interiors I dont know about you
but, blue and white spring to mind with lots of driftwood
and dried up star fish.
Here I have found some pictures to inspire a softer costal look,
still very sea breeze but with added warmth and textures.
I hope you like them! And if you like my humble little blog there is a follow
button to the right hand side hidden, click so you never miss a post.

PASTEL PINTERESTING

It's no secret... I am a huge pinterest fan and use it as a source of inspiration for design ideas constantly!

Pastels have never been more popular! wheather its the soft cool candy shades or the vibrant sourz I just can't get enough of them. Mix and match them, use them as statements and don't be shy! A pop of pastel can truly bring a space to life! Check out some of my fave pins this week... and if you haven't already signed up to +Pinterest Fan Page  what are you waiting for?

SUMMER GARDEN SPACES

I've always fancied a place to shelter in the garden, a retreat, a studio, a place where you can sit with friends enjoying a glass of wine or simply snuggling up in blankets with a cup of tea and a good book.
Whatever you want to do in yours, here are some of my favourites. (pinterest)

Shepherds hut chic. I am mad for these huts at the moment. Check out +The English Shepherds Hut Company    for gorgeous custom made huts...  I'd have  a log burner in mine!  Use as guest rooms or studios.

Vintage caravan.
I adore the vintage caravan! This one is available to hire via +Snailtrail
I own one and theres nothing quite like being self suficient.
Great for guests, summer house studio or when you just need a place to unwind.
Plus the rain sounds great when your wrapped up inside!

Gorgeous Gypsy Wagon, Oh how fabulous!
Need I say more.....

Pretty pastel painted summer house.
For summer chic paint your summer house white inside and out with a good quality eggshell paint,
I love +Farrow & Ball
Furnish with gorgeous vintage finds in pastel shades.

Porch Snug. If your lucky enough to have a porch use it as an extension of your home and garden. A lovely iron bench with pretty cushions will fit nicely into a snug space.
Now all you need is a good book!
Cozy Corner, Don't have enough room for a
summer house. Why not dress your favourite area of the garden with lovely furniture and
gorgeous cushions and throws.

#SOUTHWOLD VINTAGE SHOP SPY SPECIAL.

This month my favourite vintage shop is the wonderful Cornucopia in Southwold. Set in a tranquil little spot, opposite the Adnams kitchen shop. Why we heart it? The owners are knowledgeable and friendly. With stock ranging from pretty ceramics, antique toys, beautiful linens, home and garden furniture. Price.. Very good, we bought two vintage deck chairs for £28.00 the pair. Good for.. If your looking for pieces to do up that won't break the bank. We Love.. True vintage and antique pieces only, no re-pro or tat.

QUICK ROOM RE-VAMP WITH PRETTY PASTELS

<p>Looking around the now very chic living room of The Haven with its cool grey walls, and muted whites and greys of the farrow and ball paint selection that had taken months of loving care to decorate. I kid you not, I removed 7 yes 7 layers of wall paper. I couldn't help but feel something was missing. Yes it was tranquil and beautiful but it was seriously lacking in something.. I kept walking around with the displeased look on my face that my husband thought I was going to re-decorate all over again. Its just not feminine enough... Mr C shuddered at the thought of any pink accessories.
I set to work on introducing a few key pieces. to be exact I made two new bolster covers with beautiful faded floral fabric with soft shades of pink, green and lilac tied with vintage lace at either end. These met Mr Cs approval and made a huge difference. The next accessory was flowers.. One big vase of gorgeous pastel pink tulips and a vintage jug full of deep pink roses and lime green foliage from the garden. And that Im pleased to say was all it took, proving it doesn't take much or need to cost the earth. Just a few key pieces. Why not just bring some flowers in for a fresh new look.. they will make you smile everytime you pass them.
